Its never easy to say goodbye, but they don' t stay with us forever.. Rest in Peace Violet. You gave us 14 good years and fought hard the last 2 years against cancer. There was never a more beautiful and sweet feline Diva. We will miss you!

Sorry to hear Al . We over the years lost many to old age. When we moved to MD we brought with us 6 cats and slowly over the last 9 years we have lost them all to old age. That's when we adopted Penny a few years ago. Also this month we adopted another kitten. I will post her picture in other pets.

Sorry for your loss Al, some times pets are harder to put down than humans. I am a dog lover and had to put down 6 dogs in the last 20 years and the last one wasn't any easier than the 1st one. They definitely leave a hole in your heart when they are gone and I hope that hole mends sooner than later for you and your family.

Thanks guys, Its definitely the down side of bringing a fur ball into your family. We have 2 cats now. Leo and Dante. Leo doesn't seem to notice Violet is gone but has been by my side all day.. Dante on the other hand has been really off today. He had a routine when it was time to eat where he runs around all excited and would race off to the bedroom where Violet slept alot in her older years. She would hear him and come out for food. Then as I put together their dishes they would gently headbutt each other and rub up against each other. Dante did that today and just looked really confused when she didn't head out. I'm glad he and leo are best buds because I have no doubt Dante is wondering where Violet is.

It's always tough to say goodbye to our cats and dogs. A heartbreaker for sure. I know you have a big heart Al and probably take these things as hard as I do... No doubt your family gave her the best life ever for 14 years!

She looks like my Pumpkin. Pumpkin was the very best cat we ever had, but only lived for a bit over 2 years (kidney failure).
This photo is my last day with her.
