The big guy in the cage is Kirby, the little one is Broccoli! They’re an orange wing Amazon and a dusky conure, respectively. They share my office with my goldfish tank and my snowball shrimp tank. My office is seriously 50% birdy playroom. They get separate out time because my conure never knows when to stop, and Kirby is a sweetheart but big enough to really put on some hurt if he wanted to!

Kirby is 35, Broccoli is only six months. Here’s some more shots of their play area!

    Great aviary!

No parrots here but I am a long time bird watcher and I have chickens and roosters.

Thanks! I miss chickens, but here in Seattle having a lawn is not something we could afford - we do have a small yard but not big enough for chickens! We kept coturnix quail but it wasn’t the same, and we ended up rehoming (or eating, heh) them after the big bird flu outbreak started a year or so ago for fear of cross contamination.

This is our baby, Broccoli. At 7? months old he’s not even near puberty for dusky conures, and he is adorable. He also screams a lot - typical for aratinga conures (same family as sun conures). We love him anyway.
