Really? Had no clue. Are these Nikon knockoffs? Or real Nikon cameras being sold unauthorized? With the Tamron lens they also said there was grey market stuff

Its a huge issue. Theres alot of sellers that are not nikon authorized sellers...they import from overseas and sell at a discount here in the USA.. If you buy one Nikon usa will not service it. You have zero warranty.

the very first thing you should do Tom is go to nikon's website.Register the camera there and if its grey market and can't be registered for Warranty return the camera immediately to Amazon.

I always buy my new camera gear from factory authorized dealers like BH Photo or Adorama. Its hit or miss with Amazon sellers.

Hi Tom, look at the paperwork which came with the camera. There will be a small paper with the warranty info and serial number. It may be on the camera also.

That's been going on for years. Labelle Camera in Smith Haven Mall was big on that.
