    Super Cool Mushroom

    Late last evening a bit before dusk I noticed a dark spot in the yard. As I walked up to it, it appeared to be a poop pile. After getting closer it was a mushroom and a large one at that. About eight or so inches across the face. It was still there this morning and in good shape. Al thinks it is called "Old Man of the Woods" and is edible. Reading up on it however it doesn't sound like it tastes all that great.

      lol.. Pat in mushroom hunters circles theres alot of mushrooms you can eat..aka they are " edible".. that doesnt mean thry are "palatable "though or one of the few "choice edibles"...

      Turns out you can eat alot things growing wild.. but that doesnt mean you will enjoy them all!

              That's ok Al, I wasn't wanting to eat the thing. I actually do not care for mushrooms but I like to take pictures of them especially ones I have not seen before.
