    I have the same issue, though not quite the age of the collection. I often hang onto my camera bodies, probably too long, to the point that they really have no real monetary value left in selling them or trading them which forces me to just keep them even longer and takes up more space. I treat lenses like investments, long term value there. The bodies are what tend to run their course with time, but can look cool on a shelf.

    The real gauge is how many tripods, ball heads, and varies screws and pieces you have laying around.

      funny you mentioned that... I REALLY need to rehome some of those too... I have at least one thats so massive you could launch Rockets from it. It was from film days when stability was key as we didnt have such high iso capabilities.

        Mmm, that is where I didn't go too nuts. I have two tripods (heavy duty and one for macro), a monopod and three heads; a ball head, a wimberly head and a specialty one for shooting flowers.
