    I insist on a red eye with my Discus. I noticed with the cranes that most have a blue eye and some have a red eye. The red eye makes a world of difference IMHO.

          I know they are a game bird in some parts of the country but I really don't think I could ever hunt them, They are just too iconic for me. People call them the "ribeye from the sky" but I just think they are too neat to eat. Though I might think different if I was starving.Still I just think Cranes are so cool. Great pics Pat!

            I totally get that Al. I hunted with my dad as a kid and mostly hunted quail. It's hard to find quail these days as they need a lot of land to form coveys and reproduce. I do not think I could hunt them today.

            In Florida the sandhills are protected and I am grateful for that.
