    Spoonie Flight Series

The spoonie in this series is the same bird. I did not want to process every shot in the series but did try to capture the major wing positions. In the first photo the spoonie had just launched from the top of a headless palm tree. Here we go...

They are such a magnificent bird in flight and such goof balls on land. I always thought that I looked hard at pics and noticed everything but looking at these I noticed for the first time that they have a yellow tail. Did you notice that in one of the pics you caught it with it's eyes closed?

I did Liz, I was curious to see if anyone noticed.I liked that image due to the blur in the tips of the flight feathers. You get that blur when the shutter speed as not fast enough and it was done on purpose.
