Went back to Arizona the week before last for a job, ended up staying an extra 4 days as a mini vacation and hit some tourist/photo spots on my list. One of which being a slot canyon right outside Page AZ. Incredibly beautiful country up there by the way, the whole region could be in my top 3 US regions to visit currently. Been out twice in 2 months and I still feel like I have places I want to go see in Arizona alone.
This is Canyon X, it's part of the same drainage as the famous Upper and Lower Antelope canyons but it's much less crowded or well known. Like the other canyons, it's owned by Navajo families so you must go through a service and have a guide to enter the canyon. I did their photography tour which gave me about 2.5 hours in the canyon. Turns out I was the only one on the photography tour that day so the guide pretty much left me to my own devices for the entire time, it was phenomenal and well worth the price. Super unique place to visit, and can be challenging to shoot with all of the shadows and light depending where you stand. Anyway, here are a few shots I got in Canyon X, hope you enjoy!
