I'm a little crazy with my bird photography. I don't care what it is, I will spend countless hours photographing common Birds. Doesn't matter me if its not rare or is common. I just enjoy watching birds. So its a good reason why I always have my camera. This last trip I saw a ton of Grackles ..specifically Boat tall Grackles..Down south they are common as dirt...up North we have mostly Common Grackles, but Boat Tails are becoming more prevalent along the coasts.

I took alot of Boat tail Grackle pics. These were taken from the Car at a Highway rest area... everyone else was inside using the facilities and I saw these birds and started shooting.

I am loving that eye color. So cool against the black feathers.

Al, there is a grackle named Gary who visits folks as they drive thru Blackpoint. He lands on the windshield wipers and I think he gets treats from the locals I meet him one time.

Apparently Grackles like bathing. .. This one was in Georgia at the Savannah National Wild Life Refuge.
