Most folks hate liver, period. I'm fond of the nasty bits. I like good fried gizzards. Kidney stew over rice is one of my faves. Chef Paul gave me a recipe for lasagna which called for chicken livers. The livers gave the dish a wonderful earthy flavor.
I have left over chicken livers. This evening I'll have a chicken liver omelet. The few livers left, I'll cook up for the dogs, the cat, and Brooster. It'll be party time in the Streithorst animal family.Mama BearComment

I always save the chicken gizzards and hearts from when I buy whole chickens to use in soups.. they never make it to the table. fish them out to munch on as soon as they are cooked. Never had fried gizzards.. may have to try that
