Chuck, I was born in Florida and my parents off and on had pools. Personally I rather not have a pool BUT I do and my son-in-law Mike will show me how to care for it. The chorus of frogs serenades me every night and early this morning my dog Gypsy had to go outside. So I took her outside and I found the Cuban tree frogs like the pool. I think they do quick little dips and then hop out. Perhaps I should consider having the pool screened in?
On another note the water treatment system is installed and my "special fish filter" produced water with a TDS of 40. I will take that. Now I also have a water softener so I hope that does not affect the fish. I have one tank here at the new house and we are cleaning the tank and painted the stand. Once that is all done bringing the fish home

Did you find with the frogs drown in your pool without the frog saver? These frogs seem to jump into and out of the pool on their own so they may not need help. I have yet to find a dead frog in the pool and did rescue a toad who couldn't get out.

Getting ready to setup the first aquarium in the new house. It's a 75 with a metal stand, nothing fancy but my son-in-law Mike asked about sanding it with a metal sanding tool and painting it. He did an excellent job and the stand is actually quite nice and pretty.

Today at work and later hopefully the flooring for the guestroom gets delivered. This way I can start moving the first area where the turtle tank is to the dining area. I will be doing it in parts so all I do is move furniture around as I go. Fun!

I could not find the post but I have two pictures on my Iphone that I used in the post. To tell you the truth I don't know the species but google Lens calls it a Ouachita map turtle. My daughter got two in Florida about 2" in size at a flea market. So we got stuck with them because she never took care of them and that was about 15 years ago (one died). I know if it lives long enough she will get it back some day.

I got great news from the cancer doctor today. Only one tiny bit glowed. (with a pet scan, cancer glows). The doctor thought that it might not even be cancer, but a result of the surgery, which I don't understand. At any rate, this means that rather than having a port put in my neck leading to the big vein to my heart which they planned to inject the chemo in, I can have targeted radiation chemo on that one little place. I shouldn't feel totally miserable and my hair won't even fall out. All the cancer docs and my surgeon who was involved in my treatment will get together Thursday to analyse cases. My cancer doc, Dr, Graham, will call me and let me know what conclusion they come to with my case.Mama Bear😀 1Comment
