That's just horrible, Brian. In all the years I've used UPS I've only had them screw up once, and it wasn't something living, so all I suffered was a bit of frustration. Your seller went above and beyond for you. Thank God for the lady at Amazon. I will keep everything crossed for you. What type of Rams did you order?

Florida is in a state of drought and we having rain most of this week which we desperately need, but I am already for some sunshine. lol. Hopefully Friday is going to be a pretty day.

They finally arrived and are looking good. Liz, they're Black Knights. I normally don't like them as much as Pitch Blacks but they're still nice. Black Knights are crossed with German Blues and often show a lot of the German in them. They also don't throw golds. The ones I got are further removed from the German line and closely resemble Pitch's. The price for Blacks has skyrocketed. Long gone are the days of the $7 black Ram, lol...

I recently noticed that two of my golds have paired up. If I can get some black fry out of them I'll cross them with the Black Knights if I get any fry from them...

I'm receiving a shipment from Miranda tomorrow. She's sending them same day using Delta or Southwest. This ordeal with the rams is a perfect example of why I prefer to make the trip to the airport to pick them up.

Everything just keeps going around here. Work, chores, caregiving, rinse and repeat. With that said, I thought we were done with the cold weather but turns out the mornings here for the past couple of days have been in the 30s. I cannot wait for the cold to break and we get into the good spring weather.

The price probably went through thu the roof since I'm no longer breeding them by the gazillions. There's no reason for them to be so costly. They couldn't be easier to breed and they grow to a sellable age fast.

I never bred gold to gold, but I'd been surprised if you got any blacks from them. I really hope so. It's a shame to think of this superb line being lost forever.

I've got the doctor this morning at 10. When I get home it'll be time to bake my loaf of sourdough.

We've had a couple of mornings in the 20s here. Hopefully that's getting close to being over. We'll have 30s for awhile yet. Supposed to be 73 today. The last couple days have been almost brutally cold. Not winter cold, but mid-40s with a fairly wet, cold wind. I was putting together a lawn tractor trailer last night after work and I put on long underwear.

More waiting and pacing today. My new discus from Miranda are arriving at the airport in a couple of hours. Hopefully Southwest can do a better job than UPS did to my rams. Since they all have spots, I'll update my Spotted Project after they settle.

I am meeting a friend at the Orlando Wetlands. First time we will be shooting together. I hope we can find the barred Owls and their chicks.
