Today is dryer repair day. I did some research on my squeaky Whirlpool electric dryer and found that the idler pulley goes bad and squeaks. Found the part on Amazon and today finally got to replace it. I wasn't going to trash a 5 year old dryer. The disassembly was a little tricky but once I found the way it all worked out.

I think some folks did need a canoe to get around Jacob. Yesterday afternoon we had another storm pass thru but not nearly as intense as the previous night.

Oh man, received some super heavy rain with thunder and lighting yesterday evening. It was intense! Local weather said we got 8.5 inches. It is still dark here so have not been able to check outside. There was some local street flooding based on the local weather reports. Edit to add we got 15 plus inches of rain. What a wild night!

Looking great Brian, you've done a great job raising them to this stage.

Today is more of the usual, working all day in office. I do get to have a little fun after work today, as my brother and SIL and having a gender reveal for their unannounced little one!

I'd just put a dog or a gun out there instead.

I got 4 of these solar powered critter deterrent things new in the box last night at an auction. They're supposed to make pretty loud noises like a dog barking or a gunshot. The Amazon reviews aren't bad but but not great, but for $8 They're worth a try.

I've done both. I chop it up and sprinkle chunks in my landscaped beds and retaining wall that's in their path as well. Seems to work at times but not 100%, which is why i also use moth balls and repellent.

In the beginning, the Irish Spring approach was for squirrels but deer seem not to like it either...

I do have 30 bars of Irish Spring stashed away so I'll go ahead and shred it up as well.

Liz, I see small solar electric fence gadgets on Amazon. They're about $100 each so I'd need 5 of them. But, the fence I bought is pvc coated so I doubt that would work. I'd rather spend that money on new discus now that my water seems to be on the mend...
You can run a little wire between each fence and use one energizer. I'm not sure if hooking up an energizer to any metal fence would be the best. But they make poly wire you could wrap and do just about anything with. It's a nylon wire basically with a few strands of metal conductor in it. Super flexible and relatively inexpensive.
