New Years!

I am so ready for a New Year! This past year has been... well... challenging for me. So 2025 can't get here fast enough!

I wanted to wish all of you a very Happy New Year! I hope 2025 is a great year for everyone.

Im sure everyone has plans of sort.. Ours tonight are relatively quiet.. My daughter has her 4 best adult friends staying with us tonight and my Son and his girlfriend will be with us... and then theres my wife and I. Its kind of like 3 parties under one roof..lol

ANYHOW! Starting off 2025 with a Lobster meal.. my daughter surprised us with fresh lobster. It was a really cool surprise... Makes my wife, and I and my cat Dante very very happy! Its been way too long!




So whats all your plans for tonight?

No plans. Going to be sitting here wishing I could restart Christmas vacation, got a real busy start to this coming year ahead and I'm not looking forward to any of it. Crazy busy work schedule through March, jury duty (civil inconvenience) 2nd week in, and school....no thanks, wake me up in April. But I can't stop or manipulate time so happy new year everyone, hope its a good one for you!

I am in charge tonight in a cardiac ICU in Cincinnati. Caring for sick people and their families is more than a job and means of income, it’s a ministry for me, so I will see the new year in doing what I love!

Nothing for me. Got the house a little too warm with the wood stove and now heading to bed. I'll read and there's a little chance that I might still be awake at midnight, but my eyes are feeling heavy.

Happy New Years everyone and Al, you for sure have a full house. Tom and I use to go over to his parents house for New Years. Would have dinner (or take dinner, generally Chinese) and the city of Kissimmee would have a fireworks show we could watch from the driveway. Those were the days. Last night we had fried scallops (as in bay ones) with cheesy grits and coleslaw. It was quite good!

These days we stay home. Get to listen to the near door neighbors shoot off their fireworks all night long but last night it was pretty quiet which was nice.

Happy new year to everyone! We just spent the night with family and went to bed early. I have lost my stamina to stay up late, old man problems. Besides, my dogs don’t appreciate giving breakfast late morning.

Tom I know how you feel or maybe Ellen does she had covid for Christmas and we postponed the trip twice to Long Island We will head there tomorrow and we are only staying overnight. I did not test positive for covid but still was under the weather. Hope you feel better Tom once you get some air and photograph some birds.

Sounds like a rough time there Chuck. Glad Ellen is well enough to travel and you didnt get it. My brother in law' his wife and kids were all given covid for Christmas as well.
