These 8 are the ones left from the spawn and they are not very active but they do eat some not mush. They are getting FDBW and discus chow. I have the temperature set at 84 F and the PH 7.5. One of them has a stringy poop hanging.
I dosed Prazi @ 1.2 grams for a 75 gallon tank and most likely will do a water change tonight and re-dose per the quantity of water removed removed. Temp is at 86F now. Still have salt 2 tbs per 10 gallons.
Chuck, Often times fry will pick up Hexamita from their parents. The same goes for flukes. The parents may be asymptomatic and only have a low level infection. The fry can often keep things in check but if stressed their immune systems get overwhelmed. Thats one possibility here. I think you may need metro for the tank.

Al I guess I should forgo the Prazi for metro? Or Prazi and then Metro.
I transferred to 20 gallon to since they looked pretty bad and all on top surface face up. Clean water and first metro treatment and today some are swimming around but still a few skimming the surface.
As of this morning only 3 left alive. It's a shame all the work to get down to this, I may not try again. Then again after vacation in September I might try with the Eruptions and see if they pair again. Other option is to get some more adults and can the idea of breeding.
Chuck its frustrating no doubt. Those of us that breed our discus have all been there. If it was easy there would be no point. If you look back on your journey so far you had alot of up and downs and you eventually succeeded at each step. This is no different. Losing juvies is heart breaking but its part of the learning curve. Sometimes its something we did or didnt do.. Sometimes its just an unknown. Hate to see you give up ... hope to see you give it a shot again after your sept vacation.
