    My Wild Discus Journey

Now that they are settled in, they are getting familiar with me and their tank. They greet me anytime I approach the tank and they are fierce eaters. They do go to a corner on my water changes but come right back when i am done. I still have room for some more so I will think about that.

Question are you adding tannins to the water or is the color from Leeching wood?

No tannis or leaching wood, it's the light a certain times of the day. The hyggers I have cycle to lower light and it gets a slight reddish as they go off and the reverse in the morning. They are prograble to 8 different effects the only one I don't use the the blue nigh led's.
Now they are at full day mode, I can remove some of the red and that's why some of my domestics seem to glow.

Thanks Al and Pat I am really happy with them, now I have to clear up a little bit on my 125G to many Boesemani rainbow since I got six from Tom a while ago they have doubled in quantity and some are getting large. I had half of them in the 90 gallon and moved all to the 125. Also lots of ABN's and Sterbai. It's a bussy tank plus my five discus.

At what temperature you are keeping your wild discus tanks? I have them at 83F.

Chuck, the tanks range between 82 to 84. 83 sounds good to me!

Group picture with better lighting. They like to hang out under the wood my guess too much light.
