Who else has a wood stove?

I've been working on getting the guts of this thing back to "original" after cleaning it out. The baffle components arrived yesterday and thankfully one of the local stores had the correct sized gasket because I, like Goldilocks, attempted too small and too big before finding just right. First burn tonight. Sure is fun to watch.

I know a few people here have wood stoves and I'd love to see them.

Just got mine yesterday also but did not stack it yet. Us old people have to stack a little bit at a time.

Truth be told Chuck .. I was about 3/4 through the stack when my wife and Daughter got home and finished with me. Its amazing how fast we can work when Burgers arent going on the grill until we are done...

I will need a few more cords but I am good now through Jan

We live in a flat board log home. This guy heats our great room with 20’ high vaulted ceiling beautifully. We have 2 ceiling fans that circulate the warmth in the great room and I use a floor fan to move heat out into the area where our thermostat is so we don’t burn propane for our hvac heat during the cold days at all. Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_4333.jpg Views:	0 Size:	55.1 KB ID:	2760709 We live on 9.4acres and have been here 3.5yrs The back 4.5acres is woods so most of our wood is dead wood that I cut rounds off with a chainsaw and split by hand with an axe off of our own property for now

When my husband was alive we had this one. I'm sorry to hear that it's no longer available. It kept the whole house toasty warm. Larry did the same as you, Danny. We had 68 acres so finding dead trees to cut was easy.

Liz not sure if you remember but I had that very same stove I loved how efficient it was and how much heat it put out . Its the stove I used to heat my fish room. We talked about it in 2006 and 2011

The catalytic converter broke and I couldn't get parts any more. I think I sold it as a parts stove on Craigs List. I really liked that monster.!

Bought some kiln dried firewood from a plce a couple miles up the road. And got some from my brother as well as payment for some honey.
About to head out and start stacking it.

Cold and windy for stacking, it's just me doing the stacking so I take my time.

More lifting and carrying than I'd be up to. Have fun, Chuck, and keep warm. They say that wood keeps you warm twice, Once when you stack it and once when it's in the wood stove.
