    Discus Moving Sale Middle TN

    Hello SD:

I have a group of fish I would like to sell due to a pending relocation from TN to WA State. I simply don't have the time to devote to them during this relocation. I have the following fish available and would prefer local pickup/meet, but I am willing to try to ship, fair warning, I have no experience other than fish I have received from Kenny and from the presentations at the last NADA in ATL.

Here is what I am selling:
    • Checkerboard Pigeon (Kenny) - pushing 7" - $150
    • Ogon Yellow White x Ogon Red White (Kenny) - 6.5" - $125
    • Ogon Yellow White x Ogon Red White (Kenny) - 5.75" - $100
    • Marlboro Red (Hans) 6.25" - $125
    • Cobalt (Hans via JenTN fry) - pushing 7" - $150
    • Cobalt (Hans via JenTN fry) - 6"+ - $125

I would prefer to sell as a group which I will offer for $500, or individually as listed above. I will drive to meet a buyer in the middle TN area.

The Cobalts from JenTN, I purchased at 1" and have raised them to their current awesomeness. They are beautiful fish. See thread for original pics, and early growth:

Progress Pics of most fish above - http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showth...cs)&highlight=

If you are interested in a bit of a project, I also have another Cobalt from JenTN and a Flachen X Snakeskin from ZX10R. They are technically healthy, but not thriving like the others. I will give these to anyone who either picks them up or pays shipping either standalone or with an order for the others.

Thanks for looking at my fish. I hate to sell them as i have loved them like all of you, but it is for the best until I can get started back up in Seattle in the near future. Please post any questions here in the thread, or PM me with any offers or private questions.

    Best wishes,
    Darren

Darren you have done a good job with them - nice discus. They should sell well - good price for a group buy for someone

Wow! We're 90 minutes away from you, but talk about bad timing on our part. We had only one outstanding debt to pay off in order to take care of everything for the month of August & my daughter wrecked her car last week (she's fine), adding another $800-$1100 to our expenses this month.

When do you need to have them sold?

I need to have my fish room (aka the garage :-) ) broken down by the time we list our house around the first week of september. PM me if you are interested as I can be very flexible/creative in getting a deal done.

          Thanks,
          Darren

I understand. That CBP is the nicest looking fish I have it is awesome with nearly full pattern on the face too. Kenny gave a me a great start with this fish and I loved her like my own kids...almost.

One thing I forgot to mention, the Marlboro Red is a confirmed female that lays on Barb's cone every 10 days or more. I had her "paired" with the CBP as they were very tight until I realized the CBP is a female too. That explained the no wigglers despite RO in their couples tank.

I am confident that there are a mix of male and female in the rest of the group, but have never caught any of them laying eggs. The Cobalt is the undisputed king of the group, and the RWX are also very dominant.

fdlacy, I would be interested in the big Cobalt you have, as well as the two project fish. How big are they?

I would be able to come get them as early as this weekend.

I have someone considering the group buy and he is supposed to get back to me tonight. The big cobalt is one of the two best in the bunch. The project fish are both 5-6 in each.

They are nice fish, mabey a bit stunted, but good fish. I just don't feel right charging for them. Giving them away is better than culling though, unless you are John N on SD and they would be cat snacks.

I will let you know if they are still available tomorrow.

Group buy pending. Please stand by.

Thank you for the interest in my fish. If anything changes, I will post status here. Please feel free to continue sending any offers on individual fish or the group. If this sale does not go through, slated for local pickup on 8/24, I will honor other offers in the order they appear in this thread or in my PMs.

I am honored by the kind words and views on this thread.

                          Best wishes,

Group buy completed. Thanks to David and his lovely wife for giving my fish a new home. It was a pleasure to meet you two. Thanks again for all the interest. My next post will be from the Pacific Northwest. I am moving to Redmond, WA to start my new job with Microsoft on 9/3. Any there any SD people in this area? At least I am a lot closer to Kenny than I am in TN. I see a visit in my near future.

                            Cheers,
                            Darren
