Re: Austin Texas Discus
This seller uses ebay and aquabid to sell his fish. I have seen them listed there alot. About a year or so ago I was tempted to try them as they had some decent looking Red Turqs at very reasonable prices. I did text them and had a few messages, I won't say the communication was terrible, but it was not exactly great...very curt. I had planned to get an order and see how it went and if good see if they wanted to come on as sponsors. Having a domestic raised fish seller would be great for the forum. I ultimately did not buy them, as I just didn't feel I would get what I wanted for red turqs from the pics I saw. I am glad you got these and are happy with your order.. I look forward to seeing how they do for you. Thanks for the review.

Austin Texas Discus
A couple of weeks ago i purchased some young fish from Omar at Austin Texas Discus. In the past I have always purchased from sponsors on this site but as there are currently no sponsors here who regularly sell fish under 3 inches i looked elsewhere. I also loved that these fish are bred and raised in the USA. His prices are very low and the quality of the fish i received is nothing short of stunning. The packaging was every bit as good as we have come to expect from any top notch vendor. His communication was not great it took a few emails back and forth to confirm what was in stock, but in defense of Omar he did a few fish shows back to back just before i was trying to order so everything was removed from the website for a short period as to not oversell. I would not hesitate to order from him again and would recommend it to anyone looking. The only real downside is being a hobbiest breeder he only has a few strains he works with and not all the exotic stuff we see coming out of Asia. Anyway the fish speak for themselves. Ill try to keep this updated periodically as the colors and patterns develop but i am pretty terrible at remembering to.
