Good luck with them they do look good. In sunset park on 8th ave is a store called south river aquarium. It’s in the basement and has a web site. Follow the site. When they get discus in they are very good quality. You must qt them but they are nice discus. Get there when they come in :). Attachment 133638Attachment 133639. Also bought this guy but unfortunately he jumped the first nightAttachment 133640
Wow beautiful discus...thank you so much! It's so hard finding aquarium stores that sell discus. I like seeing and picking my own discus, I feel some discus online retailers just grab the first discus that lands in their nets and that's it and is what you receive. I will definitely check out this aquarium shop..I use to buy salt water fish on 8th Ave Years ago when I lived in bensonhurst. Now I'm in staten island and heavily into discus..
I’m completely convinced that every distributor comes up with a different name for the same crosses….
I feel the same way...it gets so confusing
Thats one reason I prefer to personally go and pick my discus, but unfortunately it's almost impossible. Only option is local aquarium shops and that's a crap shoot...if your lucky
Ok being in Is That An ISLAND :). There is a shop in Jersey that comes highly recommended on the Facebook sites called Discus Madness. Many great pics of peoples hand picked discus. For me I made the mistake of ordering (shipping was cheaper than gas and tolls) and I wasn’t happy.
They used to call them Browns but they discovered they sold better when given a fancier name.
Thanks for your replies...this is an up to date picture of the discus I just took today November 05. It's in my main display tank now and he's coloring up really nice...I definitely am happy about that..
Sorry I was having a tough time trying to correct the orientation of the picture
Thank you for your reply...I just posted a picture of the discus in my main display tank..and its doing great and coloring up very nicely
Looking better.
I think if you can adjust the size, say to 1280x1290 pixels it should orient correctly.
At least, I have not had issues.
