The melon on the right is super sick and doubtful if it can ever recover.
The pigeon on the left is stunted and most likely a carrier of what ever the melon has.

I don't think I'd classify either of them as sick or super sick. They have nice bright eyes, fins are erect, bodies look clean. They do, however, appear to have been stunted which is probably the result of poor water quality or food quality at some point. This is something they're not likely to overcome.
As for strains, they are both pigeon bloods. The solid red one is sold under a bunch of names -- red melon, marlboro red, etc. The striated fish could be sold under a bunch of trade names too. Unless you know the breeder they came from, it's best to avoid specific names and just call them pigeons.
