pls help with change in behavior

Today is the 3rd day since my pair of discus have been in my tank. My lights have a ramp timer and fade to a dim blue to sim the moon. As soon as the lights started to dim the male started doing this fast movement towards the other one. Seems like it is aiming at the other fish's private area. Please tell me this isn't some form of fighting.

Do you have bright room lighting? Perhaps they aren't used to that yet?

my discus always get feisty when the blue lights come on. its my fav time to watch them
