    Default Lets talk Nets

I seem to be short on a few nets and need to buy a few replacements. I picked up a few cheapos awhile back and they really are junk.. my go to has always been a wood handle net thats got white soft cloth mesh. Size would be between 8-10" net..

    Pretty much looks like these

but the ones I used to buy had a metal eyelet at the end. Got me wondering what do you all use for nets?

I'm going to order the Tamm ones as they are okay, but still maybe you guys have other suggestions?

Perfect timing as I was about to ask about nets. All I have are a few cheap ones that came with the 55G combos that I bought on sale. Back in the day I used nets like you described. So much better than the cheap green rough mesh.

The reviews of the Taam nets leave a little to be desired.

Got to say I never really think about nets. I have 3 types the blue handled ones with a fine mesh. I think theyre Lee. The pennplex green ones. Not as fine a mesh. And the black handled ones. No clue of the name. But they have a wider mesh and I use those for rinsing gravel.

I use the 10" wooden nets with the round bottom, and then there are cheaper green and blue nets. Normally one net per fish tank. The cheap net are sold in bundles of 6 or 12 at the wholesalers.

I finally received my nets. They are not bad.. not as good as the ones I had but should work.

The material is very soft which is good. The mesh is a little tight.. will make small fast fish harder to catch.

I like that the receiver for the net is metal...

Not keen on the handle having a plastic tip.

The handle is wood.. feels a little light but seems finished well.time will tell how it holds up.
