Males to young
I have 2 pairs of discus the females have laid eggs 4 times each. However the males which I am 90 percent sure of have not matured yet to a point that they are fertilizing the eggs the male however does guard them. Should I leave the pairs together or remove the males the pairs are in different tanks. And put the males back in after they mature more.

Re: Males to young
How old are males? Did they actually make runs over the eggs?

Re: Males to young
No the males did not make run over the eggs I would say about 12 months. The one male was very interested in what was happening the other male showed no interest

Re: Males to young
They maybe just too young or even maybe females. I would return them to the group...either way they are not a pair at this point.

Re: Males to young
Would it cause any harm if I left them together the one pair get along fine but the other pair the female seems to pick on the male. The one male may grow up faster and mature with out being picked on not sure
