    Default discus gender

Hi guys, last year I bought a pair of matched discus (suppost to be) because when I bought it, they was guarding their egg.
When I brought home until now they don't lay eggs. I thinks they are about 2 years old now.
I am very curious about this. Could anyone help me regarding this and also how to determine between a male and female discus and also picture of it if possible?

    Thank you.

Sexing Discus is a guess at best, the only sure way is observeing them when they spawn.
You didn't say how long you have had the fish, two years old they could have gone through thier first spawning season and takeing a break before starting again. Also your water conditions might not be prefferable for spawning.

Did you buy them over the internet, or did you see them spawning and guarding the eggs. Last Spring, I bought a supposed Breeding Pair on aquabid, and it turned out to be 2 males. I am still waiting for the seller to send me the female he promised! Gotta be very careful over the net! :-\ Frank
