How many discus do you have?

Hi:

I find discus keeping is quite a hard work, but at the same time one gain a lot of pleasure and content when the discus are all healthy. I spend about at least two hours each day on them. How about you?

Thanks DM, Arpanlib and Jeep. I have 14 adults, 16 juv and 10 fries. I think that is enough for me. Water changing takes me more than 2 hours daily.

Hi, I was curious so I counted my personal fish! 67 With 12 more Heckels on the way!
I have about 700 I imported to sell to pay for the rest of them!
Automatic water changer is the only way to go!
And that does not include the African, Central and South Amerian cichlids, catfish and livebearers. They number in the 1000's. I'm selling off a lot of my other cichlids to make room for more discus, but I just got back into show guppues again. And I have a day job too! Yes, I am crazy!!

Hi all, I'm having some trouble keeping up with my 22 discus (2 tanks), since my knee(s) surgery. Slowmoving, but hope it'll get better. Also have 9 Cories, 20 Bolivian Rams & 2 sw fish. This is not counting what's out in the hospital (office) tank. Will keep trying tho, spring's coming, expect to get better, lol, Dottie : : :

i really dont know...but think about 40 older juveniles and adults...and i have about 22 7 week fry...and one day old free swimming.... about 80.
and mine are spread out in two locations. so i drive.to do tanks at work and feed..then drive home and do tanks and feed. guess what my days off consist of? the fry are at the shop...so about three times a day right now when im not working. LOL. 20 minutes each way.
but...love them...so off i go. :

Takes 2-3 hours a day to clean tanks.

I've got just 6 and one on the way. I also have one horse. I say this, because currently the horse is less trouble than the fish. I almost never worry that he is going to die overnight.
