Is it possible to set up a picture and matching name
list for the most pop. discus ? Many new people
are still confused by all the diff. names for the same
fish.

If you'll look towards the beginning of "Discus Basics" you'll see pictures of snakeskins and pigeons. With some color varieties several names represent basically the same type of discus. There are several set types such as blue diamond, snowflake, San Merah that everyone understands and we could easily start a thread where people posts pictures of a specific type.

You guys start threads that say I want to see pictures of (insert color here) then we can see several examples of a certain type of discus.

My hard drive is in the shop, so I can't post pictures right now
