pop out eyes

Hi all

One of my 4.5 inch Discus is having pop out eyes!
It is otherwise healthy, eating lots, swimming about, not shy, etc.

But I observe that its eyes are like popping out more each day!

HELP!!!!

When I had that problem I found that increasinf the heat to almost 90 deg.and using Tetacycilin (sp) worked the best.Follow the directions with the tablets.In about a week mine were back to normal.Hope this helps.

Good ol Pop Eye Disease! Run to your nearest LFS and pick up some meds, they will heal after a week or so!

Funny though, looks like their whole head is going to come out of that eye socket!

It is usually a sign of an internal bacteria infection.

Sometimes Kanacyn helps.

kanacyn most definitely helps...

Any gram-nagative anti-biotic will work. Salt and heat also work too but a bit slow. It requires the fish own immune system to kick in after a week. I always like that route to make them stronger.
