I water chemistry
I live in Auckland New Zealand, the tap water that we receive here has a PH of 7.4, KH of 6 and a GH of 6 is this suitable for raising juvenile discus.

Re:I water chemistry
Yes. Your water has some good numbers. Discus will aclimatize easyly. If you wish to lower the numbers; without using an R/O, Let the tap water flow through a bucket of peat moss. the peat moss will soften the water and lower the pH -slightly.
Is peat moss available in NZ??? Read this post - It will help understand water pH and discus.

Re:I water chemistry
That a pretty good size to raise up 5 or 6 juvenile discus in a bare bottom tank or a pair of adults in a community planted tank.
