    Default ph fluctuations

I have a 150 gallon tank that I have not woried about too much because I only change 20 to 25 gallons a day and larger tanks in my expierience tend to be more stable. I am starting a 50 gal. bare bottom tank and my storage tanks tends to be higher by .5 or more should I be concerned and what temp change and ph change is ok I try but dont think I am geting it perfect.l also I am testing ph with a test kit.I bought a cheap digital but it wasnt reliable.I live in a desert area and I have huge ph swings and hardness swings in my water so I use a RO unit with a DI.

If the pH in the storage barrel is .5 higher you are OK to do 50% water changes. It's adding large amounts of lower pH water you have to be careful of. I try to keep my water temp within 2 or 3 degrees
