    Default BN Plecos

    I saw some at a local pet shop and didn't know if they were really BN. They were really small and had no bush on there nose. The lady said they grow that after is that true????

    Yes, that is correct. The bristles develop much later. Females might not ever have very many bristles--it is mostly the males.

    FYI, I picked up ten recently as a clean up crew for my discus tanks and was very impressed with their ability to clean up the glass even tho entirly covered in that brown algea that grows so fast. I left the light on over the QT tank and didn't wipe the glass off for a week before I got them so it was They had it spotless in 12 hrs. I can't wait till they are thru QT so I can put them in my discus tanks. I only wish I'd gotten more of them.
