Hello, just wondering what causes bloatedness???

my frys were bloated last nite and they look like they were gonna burst! one of them was struggling to swim and stay floated... swimming upside down, sideways and having a hard time... i put 6 teaspoon of epson salt in a 33g... they started pooping and 'throwing up'.... this morning they look ok.... (1 is still super fat, might be bloated) any other suggestions????

You might try a large wc. Make sure you put the amt of salt back in the tank that you take out with the wc.

Also, feed smaller portions and more often. Young fry will eat until they explode.

Thanks for the replies! will try that. ( most of them are back to their normal selves, but 1... still looking bloated even after the espon salt...?????)

If you are feeding dry pellets you may want to soak them for 10 minutes prior to feeding.
