as for the beer...here at CTdiscus.. thats our buffer and water conditioning agent ... the fish love the tannins in my bitter ales.

LOL... We're having the second ice storm in as many weeks and right now there are 3 spawns happening. Must be the prospect of them freezing that gets them going .

As for the ones I got from Al, they are doing great!! Begging for food in the middle of water changes is a positive sign
