    Default Epoxy and fish?

I'm having to fit in my own glass top for an older 75 gal tank. It's real thick glass and doesn't come with center brace. I making one to fit my glass tops with strips of 3/4" plexi and I will attach these to the tank with silicone but I'm layering a a couple of pieces for adjustment purposes. I was going to use epoxy to stick plexi together this will not actually come in contact with water but sit above it. Is this OK or should I stick with silicone all around. I was looking for the strength of the epoxy.
    Thx Dave

i would go with the silicone , this way you wont ever have to worrie, and when it's dry it will be plenty strong for your needs and if you ever need or want to adjust or remove it you can . the epoxy would be permanent and could be toxic to fish.
