    Default Phosphate pad

So in an effort to reduce the phosphate i have loaded my tank with by doing conditioned tap water water changes, i have switched to RO and added a phosphate pad on the top of my wet dry. Does anyone know if once these are loaded do they put the phosphate back in the water. I plan on removing the pad after 2 weeks but i will sooner if I knew it leach that phosphate back into the system once it has fully loaded? I know some media will lock phosphate and not release it and some will throw it back in the system once it is maxed out. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm a little confused, if you are using RO why are you having phosphate issues?

Because for the first 5 months my tank was running I used conditioned Florida tap water.....think I'll donate my body to science when I die.
