I have 6 young discus, originally from Trition in this summer at quarter size.
Farther and mother see here:

They are now about 4 to 5 inches. Eat home-made beef heart, blood worms and Tetra Color Tropical Granules. Are they normal size at this age? Can anyone tell me what kind of discus they are? Thanks a lot!

Father and Mother from Triton. Why none of them looks like the mother?

Thanks for the reply. Now I know it.
I was confused because I went to a local store and found the same fish, but they call them Blue Turq.

They could be....depends on how they turn out when they are fully grown. They have some beautiful line patterns.

Well the one parent definitely looks like a Red Alenquer, not sure of the other one, so obviously they are a cross of the two.
Your red turqs are definitely superior to any discus for sale in quality that I have seen around Boston. Great job with them....they look excellent! mike
that second pic almost looks like a carnation turk. regardless of what they are they look great

I agree with the majority. Definately look like Red Turk/Red Scribbelt
variety.
Also believe they are very healthy, beautiful fish. Good luck with them.
