Very nice. I always really appreciate out of the box (actually in this case, in the tank) thinking.

Being the crafty, inventive person I like to be, I am fascinated by this DIY canister filter and I am going to make one! What a great idea! Your invention?

Excess power heads and a lack of proper fitting media for canister was my motivation. I thought of it all on my own after getting mad at an old round fluval I could not get the o ring to fit in right. I'm sure this has been done before even if I think I invented it
That's an angelfish/ place grow out so i needed to monitor closely when media was full. My discus tanks get tons of water changes as I am moving away from any filtration save for mechanical that is changed out daily... It's hard for a tropical fish keeper such as myself that depended to strongly on cycled canisters to move towards sponges only and water changes... But the happy discus results really speak for themselves.
Awesome! creative yet effective.I like it thumbs up!!
Very Good. Simple but efcace. Often simple = very good

I am gathering the supplies for one now! Just need to get a power head and I am ready to make one. I will post a pic of mine when I make it. Thanks Ibenu!
