    Default lifeguard big temp alert

    i love this thermometer but it consistently reads 9 deg F higher than the actual temperature! does anyone know how to manually calibrate this thing? i cant seem to find it anywhere.

    Mine reads 6 degrees low when compared against a calibrated lab thermometer. I hope some one knows how to adjust these or I have a $30 piece of garbage also. Thanks.

    i wrote to the company and got this unfortunate reply:

    Hello Chandan,
    There is no way to calibrate them. If it is within the warranty period (1 year) you can return it for replacement to the address shown below. Please include a copy of the purchase receipt.

    Thanks for sharing. I have kept mine way to long for the warrenty. Good luck with yours.

    I have two of the $8 corral life digitals. When checked agianst the Labratory thermoneter they were within 1 degree. Not bad for the price.
