    Default PH

If my tank (still cycling) water has a higher ph then my aged tap water should I do a water change. There doesn't appear to be a huge difference.

Well right now you dont have to worry bout ph its not a concern when cycling. Bring up the ph question when your tank is fully cycled. Fully cycled means no ammonia and no nitrite, only nitrate. I see someone told you to keep an eye on your ph, they probably dont know you have no fish in the tank and are just cycling it. Just so u dont get confused on the ph subject.

No problem at all while you're cycling. The only difference is that if your pH is below 7.0 while cycling, your cycle will take longer than if your pH were well above 7.0 during the cycle. (pH of around 6.0 or less can actually stall the cycle.)
When you're done cycling, if the pH difference is under .5 - don't fret at all about it - and if it's over .5, and even up to 1.0 diffference, I wouldn't be concerned.
