question about babys tears?
i got a real pretty bunch of babys tears that was wrapped with the fiber and pre planted in a little black plastic pot. i removed the pot and wedged the planted babys tears up high in a nook of drift wood below my light. 65 watt compact flourescent. i read they are high light plants so thought it would like it up close under the light. do you think it will be happy wedged in the drift wood? are they usually planted in substrate? just wondering because it looks soooooooo good where it is. not sure it would be happy at the bottom of the 75 with only 130 watts total of light. thoughts? thanks, walt.

Re: question about babys tears?
Should be fine. Substrate isn't necessary. Most people attach it to rocks or wood. I'd definately keep it high in the tank if you dont have good light- maybe even float a little as insurance.

HC (baby tears) will probably need CO2 & ferts.. But keep us posted!
Make sure you remove all the packaging. The roots need to grow without effort.

I couldn't ever keep mine rooted. I gave up on them after a few months.

Yeah - Not HC. I have that stuff in my tank. Nice bright green and grows like crazy. SO much easier to deal with than HC or mosses. (I threw my HC out - uprooted constantly.)
