Default Plumbing repairs needed in basement?

    Hello all,

I am buying a new house. There are about five small leaks in the plumbing in the basement. I know plumbers around here cost about $100 an hour but can anyone give me an average on what they think the new piping will cost?

    Thanks a lot.

Lots of factors that are missing here.

What kind of piping (copper, pvc, etc.)
    How much is needed
What exactly is leaking and were

My experience last year was a problem with a fountation leak and with so many people out of work, you may get lucky enough like I did to find a friend who need work. he knew my problem and was glad to do it for half of the quote I received.

You can also place an ad on Craigslist if possible and see if you get any bids.

    Good Luck,

if you 're in the process buying house, you can ask the seller fix it prior to close. Usually, appraiser should notify it on appraisal and lender will ask it to be fixed prior to close.
