Ive seen a heater module at an lfs but nothing on the level of some of these
Salty Supply
I came across this site when looking for a carbon reactor. I was thinking of using one of their modules for this purpose. It would seem that the modules can be purchased empty and you can put whatever you want into them or buy them pre-assembled as well in single, double and triple size modules. Check it out.
Anyone every buy from them?

You can get them with or without a pressure gauge. It looks like you can get a combination module as well that will have mechanical, chemical, and biological. What drew me to them was the high flow inlet/outlets and you can connect two or more units together at the base.
I looked them up on eBay and you can find some of them there, but the price was better ATM on this site.

1st thing that comes to my mind is maintenance, then there is no wattage rating for heater just says 200g(least i didnt see it). i would do a lot of research on taht heater before i'd risk boiling my fish
I do what I must do, to do what I wish to do!

Hi Dominik,
The heater module is just the shell. You add whatever glass or titanium heater you want, but Viola...it's now an inline. The heater is inserted below the water line and the top sticks out of the top surrounded by a water proof gasket.
For instance, my 250W Jaggers are 22" in length and the medium module will house it while the water circulates around the glass portion of the heater.
How is this different from the lifegard systems?

Well years ago I had used the life gaurd modules and one somehow emploded and sprung a leak in its side.Crushed the heater put electrical current right into the tank.I got shocked thats how I found it I wouldnt use them!
They work well for what they're designed to do. Not the most rugged piece of equipment, but they do work. Pentair Aquatics has had them out for quite some time now.
