Oh, so then wiggly's aren't those things that turn into Fries?

So today I watch the two ate 3 wiggler that came off the cone. Later they pick up more into their mouth, but this time they spit them back on the cone. I guess they are still learning. Positive is this time i have 15-20 wiggler and they are very dedicated parents. They won't leave the cone even while cleaning them. It's interesting to see how good they have gotten with each new clutch of eggs. This is their best so far.
The wiggler are now getting bigger and almost ready to be free swimmer. I counted about 17 wigglers that I could see. Could not see the other-side of the cone so there could be more. This is much better than their second try.
Congrats as well. Hopefully the pair will deem them enough fry worth it to raise. Or...may eat them feeling it's not worth the effort. Hopefully they will tend to them!...Bill
I'm hopping they will take this small batch. The second batch was only 2-3 wiggler and they ate them. Hopefully they take on this group. Yesterday morning they did eat a few, but since than they have been carefully tending to them and picking them up if they fall off the cone and spitting them back onto the cone.
That's a good sign when they do that. Hopefully as said, they will take care of them, and give them some experience for the next time...Bill
I’m so happy for you. Pretty soon I will have to make room for you at the Swap LOL...I can wait until you get some attachment you will be hooked for life......Josie
Notice this morning they started to swim off the cone and the parents would freak out than catch them and spit them back onto the cone. Some actually attempted to attached to the parent, but the parents would just scoop them up. Looks like they have done a good job so far, but sadly there are only about 10-12 wriggler left. I don't think this batch will make it to attachment. Hopefully next spawn is a lot bigger. I'm going to get some methblue to help with Fugus on the eggs the next time around.
Congrats! Some how missed this thread

Thanks Babar. Sadly they went free swimmer while I was at work today and didn't attach to the parents. My water was way too high on my 65 gallon. I will section off half the tank so next time they have less room to move around. The free swimmer are swimming at the top of the tank and a few are attach to my K1 Media bottle. The parents have abandon this small group of now 2-3 free swimmer. Hopefully the forth spawn will be better as they seem to get further and further every time. Hopefully it will give me time to setup RO to get the perfect water for them to spawn.
Better luck next time.
