That is great news Josie. I hope you have a great time! I love taking trips like that with my family and photographing everything! Of course they don't like it as much, but I like having all those photos of the good times.

If I am not mistaken, the main discus breeders or farms are located in 3 main States in Malaysia: Penang, Perak & Johor.
Penang and Perak are close, about 1.5 hours drive. While Johor is quite far from Perak, about 7-8 hours drive.
Johor and Singapore is just a cross of bridge. Can reach within 30 mins under smooth traffic.

Breeder and Exporter of fine Discus...
LOL - I don't know what there is to correct in what I said, or what you think you are correcting, I simply stated that while I lived in Singapore, even though it was a long time ago, I obtained Singapore bred & raised discus, which were not of Malaysian stock parentage to my knowledge, and they were, imo, every bit as good-looking, healthy & well-shaped as any of the many Forrest discus I have bought in recent years.
Not taking anything away from Forrest, his are the only discus I've bought in recent years.
I visited discus farms in both Singapore and Malaysia while there, and the Singapore breeders were at that time producing just as good discus stock as the Malaysian breeders.
As for your '90%' comment, again I'm not sure what you're saying - are you saying that 90% of discus sold in Singapore are brought in from Malaysia ? ( Or 90% of discus in Singapore are from Malaysian discus parentage ?) I find that very hard to believe. Should we accept that statement to be true just because you say so ?
LOL - And we're still waiting for the reply...
