Had to sell all my tanks and sad to say my Discus...
Hello Everyone!
Just signed on yesterday. Fairly new to Springfield (2 years). While I'm not new to fish/plant keeping (35 yrs), I am new to Discus fish and am excited to finally be among the ranks of the King of the Freshwater fishkeepers.
I currently have 2 F/W tanks. One 55-gallon that has a few community fish and what I like to use as a quarantine tank for plants.
My discus tank is a 72-gallon bowfront filtered by 2 Emperor 300-type HOB's.
It is a work in progress as a fully planted and natural tank with 2 discus. One is a female and she is a Blue Diamond. The other one, unsexed at this time, is a Turquoise discus.
Glad to be a member here and I look forward to learning from you all!
On a sidenote I'm currently majoring in Natural Wildlife Conservation at Missouri State where once I graduate I hope to work for the fisheries department on a federal or state level.
How you react to any situation is vitally more significant than the situation itself.
