I have never owned one, but the Piwo Red Turquoise is my favorite.
Curious what everyones favorite strain of discus is today? I'm very partial to wild greens and blue snakeskins as my favorites.. Probably next up would be san merahs and a close follow up would be red based wild blues and Heckels.
What about you? Whats your favorites?

I'm pretty much with Al on this. My favorite are SSs with a strong blue base. My second pick would be the brown based reds. I love a good wild of any type, but never felt the urge to try owning and breeding them
Mama Bear
If I had to choose wilds - I absolutely LOVE wild greens, especially the ones I've seen previously posted by Pat.
Domestic breed? I spotted a video of Chicago Discus lately, and I'm sold on the Rose Red, Super Panthera, and Ruby Red Spider.

Blue Turq's
For me, blue fish…. my preference, reflection Ds or Cobalts.
Blue tiger turqs, but the super panthera at Chicago discus are amazing!
My personal preference is wilds also. I really love the wild greens and also love the red-based browns (or Cuipuea)

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
My favorite strain is the Browns with vertical dark bars
Wild Tefe Greens hands down. Wild Browns and Heckles in that order. I've never been a huge fan of the "manufactured" strains we have now. The closer to wild the more enthused I am.
I think it's pretty obvious by my more recent posts that I like the spots, lol... But, I also like many of the other traditional strains as well...
