Default Treating Catappa leaves before adding to the aquarium?

Hello, so basically, my street is full of catappa leaves. Do I need to treat them somehow before adding them to the tank for tannins? I mean, I don't know if they're treated with insecticides or something.

Depending on where you live your local town hall should be able to to tell you if theres been any spraying. Its really not that common for pesticidess to be sprayed in a residential area without it being posted. if you have have any doubt dont use the leaves.. not worth it. Theres a ton of sources of tannins out there.
